A society that is built in the spirit of competition will in the end run itself out of its own contest. There are essentials that communitys should be built upon, self growth being one of the most important foundations. Economic growth is a very limited source of progression a specially when wealth as we see today is distributed in such a largely unbalanced way. It should not be money that motivates us to build for the better of societys, it should be goodwill. As I see it Money is by far the most overestimated part of our society today, it is a piece of paper that many would argue is the foundation of this cracked system that we see today. But it is man that has done the building, motivated by money. What should be regarded as of great importance is the journey in witch we all build our minds. We bare great responsibilities this day and age, the harm we inflict on our world today are harms that future generations will need to deal with. This by itself shows the importance of building something sustainable, a foundation that is of somewhat a solid nature, a stone for future generations to be able to build upon, that also is at work side by side with mother nature and does not only try to find ways to take advantage of and use mother nature for its own profit. Voltaire once wrote “Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value – zero.” Past generations have always greeted the future in a positive fashion, it will only get better and better, but I feel as if today we have more doubters than ever. We are reaching what can be described as the end of our western empire, consumption has been growing and so has poverty, what a paradox. I wish for a future, were the future will be able to build for its future and so on, not a world where man will have to devote his life, and put all there efforts to correct the mistakes we left the whole of earth with today. Life is full of meaning, but what made our lives so meaningful are storys that we all write ourselves. Let there be writings for futures to come. Wishing you all a lovely weekend!!
