A spiritual enigma! I awoke this morning repenting from the unknown sins I committed yesterday! I did not open my mouth or speak in any unknown tongue, because my heart uttered words my mouth could never say! I thought within myself that I might touch the heart of GOD today! My spirit spoke to my body, mind, and soul, and said, let us pray! In my heart I desire to be caught up in paradise to hear unspeakable secrets which is not lawful for a man to utter! I imagine I would be empowered with GOD’S power from on high and go back to reveal it to my brothers! I imagine eternity is a secret truth I knew that has been branded upon my heart! I imagine carnal knowledge was power with men, the same way spiritual knowledge is power with GOD! I imagine life to be nothing more than a dress rehearsal, and a shadow of things to come! I imagine if you live long enough you will know your own self, and see the world come undone! I imagined words were powerful, and they were like a lifeline which is able to give life or destroy life! I imagine the simplicity of swords spoken from my heart was the fine poetry I write! I imagined a purpose lived life was motivated by faith, truth, and love! I imagined I stabbed myself in the heart with a spiritual pen, and every word I wrote was written in my own blood! Imagine knowledge was power with GOD, and that power was given to men? Imagine man was entrusted with the power of GOD, but man could not go beyond what he did not understand? “CAN YOU FEEL ME?” A spiritual enigma, a poem, “by Reese Kemp!” (2 CORINTHIANS 12:1-9) It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew a man in CHRIST JESUS above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: GOD knows;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: GOD knows;) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in my weaknesses. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he sees me to be, or that he hears of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord three times, that it might depart from me. And JESUS said unto me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of CHRIST JESUS may rest upon me. (ISAIAH 6:1-13) In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this has touched thy lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged. Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. And he said, Go, and tell this people, you Hear indeed, but do not understand; and you indeed see, but do not perceive. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and be healed. Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. But yet in it shall be a tenth shall be saved, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.
