A squirrel fell from my attic into my dining room wall yesterday. Its clearly trapped, crying out, is probably going to die a slow and miserable death in there and its breaking my heart. My cats are stressed out by the sounds of its crying, too. Im tempted to hammer a hole in the wall to see if I can retrieve it but A) Id possibly kill it in the attempt, B) I might start some sort of electrical fire in the process, C) Id have to pay for the repairs, D) Id have a squirrel in a house with my cats, E) Id have a hole in the wall that further attic animals could use to get inside, and that my cats could then get trapped in. This is not going to be a good day (though considerably worse for the squirrel, I suspect).
