A subject that is near and dear to my heart - sharks. Australia is currently culling sharks off its Western coast. This is nothing but a knee-jerk, fear based reaction by politicians who dont want to lose tourist dollars. Taking out the apex predators in an ecosystem is bound to have a very negative impact on that system. Human nature - what we fear (or gets in the way of us making money), we destroy. As quoted in the article, killing sharks for being sharks.
