Today, the Holy Spirit has graciously obliged our hearts cry to continue in the treatise of THE YOKE AND THE MODEL! By His revelation, we would delve deep into the first part of His statement that is stated below: Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me... The Holy Spirit is ever ready to perform His gracious work of transforming us by building us into the very pattern and personality of our Lord Jesus, who loved us and still loves us, and gave Himself for us for this purpose, that He might be the First Born, Eldest Brother, among many brothers (people who are exactly like Him)! You hear that! The whole reason why He loved us and gave Himself for us is simply because He wants to have lots and lots of younger brothers and co-heirs! Just take a second to tell Jesus how much you love Him and appreciate the depth of His graciousness towards you and I that have believed! May the Holy Spirit open our hearts to glean the life in this surmising in the name of Jesus! Amen! THE YOKE & THE MODEL contd. From 1 (check yesterdays post), we are informed that there is a YOKE that is an inalienable and incontrovertible prerequisite for a schooling process that God has in store for us. A YOKE and A MODEL, the model being ME (JESUS) and the yoke being His too! For Gods plan to work in your life, the yoke and the model are one and the same indivisible training curriculum for us. You cannot see His yoke and refuse Him as the model. You cannot be trained in His model without His yoke! Sometimes Satan may deceive us into cutting corners, but the result will never be the same, which is Gods Rest, Peace and Satisfaction. A yoke is a device that is used in animal-based cropping that limits, restricts and restrains the yoke animal to the path and line of cultivation the farmer has in mind. Thus a yoke is the device the farmer uses to communicate HIS OWN plan and idea to the animal to execute. We would say that it is what the farmer has in mind and not what the animal MAY have in mind that is important. The pattern of ploughing, seeding, weeding or harvesting the farmer has in his mind, an already perfect picture and vision, He communicates to the yoke animal via the YOKE! The animal is obliged to obey completely so that the farmers vision and plan is executed according to what he has already formulated in his heart. The yoke-animal has no contribution to the plan except to follow the instructions and execute them as directed through the YOKE! The farmer could yell and shout or speak softly,cajole and coax the yoke-animal to do his bidding, but the obedience to what he says is conveyed by the yoke. The yoke is always rigid and inflexible. The yoke allows no room or space for the yoke-animal to manoeuvre his way out of the farmers directive. That is to say that the yoke does not allow the yoke-animal to do his own thing or modify the farmers plan. The YOKE exacts implicit and absolute obedience to the farmers resolute plan from the yoke-animal! As long as the yoke is on the animal,it does not allow it to play or prance around, only the farmers activity at that time is the ONLY IMPORTANT BUSINESS! A model is an object that is looked up to in other to fashion another relative unfinished object into its similarity. The characteristics of the model are inferred from as absolute points to mould the unfinished object. Simply put, you use the characteristics of a model to make an exact copy. The same material, the features and properties are exactly the same! Thus Jesus is who we are supposed to become exactly like, NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS! And until we are made to become exactly as Him, we remain unfinished and incomplete! He alone pleased God, and God granted Him His rest, and until the Holy Spirit fashions us to become His exact replicates, we remain half-made or incomplete! Thus, the YOKE and the MODEL! Jesus said,Take my YOKE and LEARN of ME. The yoke is His if we still remember,not ours,not our friends and not our parents, but His and His alone absolutely. He does not share ownership, nor does He rent it out! The YOKE is His alone and absolutely! He was specific about it in saying,Take My.... He alone gives His yoke and alone can give the yoke! It has His stamp of exclusive ownership and no shared ownership! There are no shareholders! It bears His design and functionality! He alone gives it! By tomorrow, we would cling to the Holy Spirit to open our eyes to the understanding of what God expects of us, for us to indeed please Him as His blood-purchased new creatures!
