A testament to the dedication of the NYPD officers: I was just standing at a crime scene in the Bronx and the officer guarding the scene came to talk to me. Someone from an apartment above threw a glass plate out of the window and almost hit him in the head. I said: Did that just happen? Are you ok? He responded: Its not a big deal. Im ok. I love my job. And he sincerely meant it. Not one bit sarcastic. He said hes so thankful to have a job with the NYPD. I told him to please be safe.
