A truly sad day today...one of the true giants in original scifi writing, Richard Matheson, passed away today at the age of 87. For those who read books, Richard Matheson wrote original stories, some of which became true movie classics, such as "The Incredible Shrinking Man" and "I am Legend", not to mention numerous tv shows, such as "The Invaders". I feel a little older and a little emptier, knowing that this man, who stood in great company with others such as Ray Bradbury and Forrest J. Ackerman, has passed to the great beyond.
