A two-day “Farigeen-i-Madaris Conference” was organized by Jama’at-e-Islami J&K for the pass-outs of various Islamicseminaries (Madarisssas) at Masjid Al-Huda near Central office Batmaloo, Srinagar on June 15 and 16.Dozens of Ulema who have completed degrees from famous Islamic seminaries like Dar-ul-Uloom Deoband, Nadwa-tul-Ulema, Jamia-tul-Falah, Madinah University etc participated in the conference, which was presided over by Ameer-i-Jama’at, Muhammad Abdullah Wani.The conference started on Saturday afternoon with the Dars-e-Quran of renowned scholar and Ameer-i-Zilla of Jama’at-e-Islami J&K District Shopian, Shahzada Aurangzeb NadviMakki, and concluded with the speech ofGeneral Secretary (Qaim-i-Jama’at) Dr. Abdul Hameed Fayaz before Zuhr prayers on Sunday. In his speech, Dr Fayaz stressed upon the Ulema to play their role in guiding Muslim Ummah to face challenges in the present situation.During the conference a discussion titled “Role of Ulema in Current Global Scenario” was held in which the participants deliberated on various aspects of the situation prevailing world over today and the role Ulema can play in it. The conference was also addressed by Rizwan Faheem Falahi, who is associated with foreign affairs department of Jama’at-e-Islami Hind.At the end of the conference, the Ulema decided to do organized work under the banner of Farigeen-i-Madaris-e-Islamia Forum (Forum of Madrassa pass-outs) and issue a research magazine titled “Nida-e-Haq.”Mujahid Shabir Falahi was appointedas state co-coordinator while as oneAalim (scholar) from each district of the valley was appointed as district coordinator.
