A two-day workshop spearheaded by the Mandera county woman MP Hon.Fathia Mahbub successfully came to a conclusion today in Mandera town. The workshop was aimed at building the capacity of women MCAs in the county in gender responsive budgeting, to gender standing orders in parliament and also to initiate mechanism of establishing Mandera County Assembly Women Caucus. The training was also attended by women opinion leaders. My government believes in equal representation for all. In the last financial year, we managed to involve all our women fairly well in all the projects we carried out and in our workforce as well. They renovated Mandera Moi girls secondary school sports field, handling sanitation programs in the county ,bush clearing ,construction of a dispensary and a social hall ,construction of ECD classes just to mention but a few. Through our policies, services and use of financial resources we will priorities empowering our women H.E Ali Ibrahim Roba- Governor,Mandera County
