A very definite nudge from nature this morning to appreciate every single morning that we are able to live here by the marsh. Despite C providing a rubbish nights sleep, despite the hangover-like effects of yesterdays migraine/feeling low combo, I loved the early start this morning (N had gym class). Out this early by the marsh, therere a lot less people about, and the birds are a lot closer in, leading to a close encounter with the swans and their new cygnets this morning. The high water in the gullies suited them too, and they were ever so graceful, swanning about ;) With swallows swooping low, egrets and herons fishing for their breakfast, geese flying off for theirs to the fields, sun still low, moon still faded in the sky and a fresh nip to the air, its gorgeous. The soundtrack is lovely too. Lone crows announcing they were about, sarcastic ducks squabbling and the soft coos of big fat woodpigeons always makes me smile, no matter the mood. Lovely start to the day!
