A very long day for Michael cleaning up this mess. We now have three piles of tree limbs. Three LARGE piles. Waiting to be cut... On a brighter note, one of my two beautiful river birch that was literally bent over (4 LONG trunks) like the letter C, and was arched into my dining room window...the driveway...the front lawn...miraculously straightened up and looks like yesterday never happened! All day & night I bargained with the Universe to let my tree live. The fact that it sits directly in my front (aforementioned) window & gives us privacy wasnt the only reason that I was uber-depressed until the morning light/sun came up today. Long long ago, I had some white birch in my yard in Londonderry, and the only tree we ever lost (in a very mild hurricane) was my fave that sat outside our floor-to-ceiling windows. I missed it till the day I moved. Maybe the Universe felt it owed me one. Ill take it...and thanks.
