A week back one of my friends speculated that a group within congress will rebel and Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil will take a lead in bringing this faction to BJP so that BJP gets a clear majority. Statements made today by Shri Balasaheb Vikhe Patil and Vijay Vadettiwar proove that my friend was right. Is that the reason BJP is confident and not enthu in discussing with Shivsena? Yes, a rebel group of 20 from congress can bring BJP in majority easily without needing any help from Shivsena. But the issue is that BJP has already 22 MLAs who came to BJP from Cong-NCP and these additional 20 will take that tally to 42 ! Which means atleast one third of the MLAs in ruling party shall be originally from their Opposition party which is not good for stability of the government. Congress in maharashtra will be on back foot further and will be no.4 party in the state.
