A wonderful story in BBC news Kent A rescue kitten has taken up residence at Sir Winston Churchills former home at Chartwell to honour a request made by the wartime leader. Churchill’s Final Wishes There’s a new boy there at Chartwell a rather dapper chap. Ginger with white trimmings and what a tourist trap!! Sir Winston was insistent that Chartwell has a cat. To honour his requirement the staff have seen to that. Churchill was a softie his cats were treated well. They dined there on fine tuna, no doubt they thought it swell! Even at cabinet meetings, Churchill’s boy was there. Sir Winston barked his orders as the cat slept on the chair. Jock the sixth is blessed now as his life is just a dream.
