A word of warning to all pet owners. Hubby and I were looking for a dog last year, and came across a local breeder of Cotons de Tulear. We got Molly and are totally in love with her, and the breed. We have also gotten to be good friends with her breeders. We took their advice on groomers, since that was where they take both Mollys parents. Last evening I had a conversation with Mollys human grandmother and heard some awful news. They took both Mollys parents in for grooming and when she went to pick them up, the groomer had TOTALLY SHAVED Nick, Mollys canine dad, DOWN TO THE SKIN! NO phone call for permission, NO real explanation, (he had mats), NO nothing. Left his head and tail, but shaved EVERYWHERE ELSE. This breed should NEVER be shaved like that. And now hes COLD. Mom said he was shivering n the couch, wrapped in a blanket. And now he has to go through the ENTIRE WINTER growing his coat out. Needless to say, I called this morning and cancelled Mollys Tuesday appointment and gave them a piece of my mind. So a word of warning, keep your pets away from The Doggy Dude Ranch. This is our Molly.
