A word on being respectful and courteous. As I was hunting Ogden - TopicsExpress

A word on being respectful and courteous. As I was hunting Ogden Bay yesterday I had a boat motor into a backwater area I had set my decoys in. When they motored in 60 yds from me I fired a shot in the air to get their attention. I waved to let them know we were already set up and they proceeded to motor another 80 yds or so and set up. Then as they proceeded to sail birds in the 40 mile per hour winds and not attempt to retrieve them I really got annoyed. We lost two birds because of wind and decided it was not ethical to continue if we could not retrieve birds and therefore left. Learn to give other hunters several hundred yards between you! It is better for everyone. If someone makes it to where you want to be, go explore somewhere else! You may be surprised at the results. In Pennsylvania they have minimum distances you can set up away from someone legally. Maybe a letter to a state representative could stir that change here. However since we are over regulated as a society, just some respect and common courtesy would go a long way.
