A year ago this coming weekend was when Diana and I made our visit to Hitchcock. We met with the search committee for what was to be a 2 hour meeting that turned into 4+ hours at the Philens’ home. To let you know a secret, we were supposed to drive in Friday morning to go to the meeting as soon as we got to town. We actually drove in Thursday to look around a little ourselves. We drove through Hitchcock twice before we realized where it was! We spent the night in Galveston. The next day we toured the church, the town and went to lunch. Sunday, the committee came to hear me preach at Richey Street in Pasadena where I had been youth pastor some years back. Then, during the holiday season the LORD worked out to bring us together with the wonderful people of this church and town. It is amazing how fast this year has gone by since that first trip last November. Our family has been blessed more than we can express. We love being here and look forward to helping FBC advance the Kingdom and see lives transformed by the grace of Jesus Christ. See you Sunday.. Phil 1:3 I thank my God every time I remember you
