A year back, Microsoft India Development Center and Lv Prasad Eye Institute announced the launch of a helpline, aimed at providing counseling and guidance on issues related to visual impairment to anyone who is impacted by low vision/blindness. Over the course of the last one year, the helpline has successfully answered several enquiries regarding medical intervention, assistive devices, employment opportunities, mobile applications, audio books, educational courses, etc. The numbers are growing month on month.
