AAC High School Batch ’89 Aklan State University Banga, Aklan My dearest batchmates, In less than a month from now we will be having our Grand Alumni Homecoming and we are one of the hosts and honorees as Silver Jubilarians, 25 years after graduation. This event is special to me as it is to you. Although I am the president of the batch, I am just one of the members. Thus, nobody is indespensable and nobody is less important. Everyone’s presence is therefore valuable and a blessing to our dear Alma Mater, the institution where we had our humble beginnings. I am pleased to tell you that although we have insufficient funds as of now in some aspects, our batch is now ready for the gathering. To those who pledged financial support, kindly send them to Elen the soonest because Elen is now paying for some reservations and other needs relative to the event. For those who have supported our batch for the past years and until now, I thank you and may the Lord grant you more success and blessings in life so that you may continue to bless others in return. As of today, there are 72 batchmates who manifested their intention to join the event, the highest so far in the past years. The success of this event depends not actually on the size of our pockets but with the size of our hearts; hearts with one common goal: to look back together on the youth we have been, on how we played the games that were very simple yet deep impact lingers until now in the depths of our hearts, on how we considered lessons and examinations as measure for our future, on how we have treated others as well as how we’ve been treated (now that we have matured in wisdom, we laugh at how we somehow immaturely acted and reacted), on how the greatness of our teachers and school affected the way we dreamed big as small individuals-young as we were with no idea how really big the real world is. It has been 25 years since then. We probably all want to know how each of us has been and how our experiences molded us to who we are now. Let this wanting for us to know our how abouts be motivated by our interest for each other’s well being and not for the successful ones to be proud about. Each of us journeyed differently and blessed in unique ways. But this event is not about any one of us. This is about all of us. This is about honoring our teachers and school and I must say, honoring one another. No big, no small. Everyone is SPECIAL! The gathering will bring us all equal: Once were happy students of AAC! This early, I would like to thank each one of you. Your presence will make a lot of BIG DIFFERENCE. Let me take this chance as well to thank Elen Barrera Inosanto, our official representative and coordinator who unselfishly devotes her time from attending meetings to settling all other concerns including answering all our inquiries (please feel free to coordinate with her if you have any). Elen, may you not grow weary in doing good, and may our Lord bring back to you a thousand fold. See you all! I am excited to celebrate this homecoming with you. God Bless AAC Batch ’89. God Bless Aklan State University. Very truly yours, John R. Resado
