***AAI URGENT APPEAL*** The Esculea Moderna Kerewan Kindergarten (EMKK) is a pre-school hosted and operated by Atheist Alliance International Affiliate the Gambian Secular Assembly is in urgent need of funds to bring its building up to the required Health and Safety Code, so that can operate permanently. The school is one of only 4 preschools in Banjul, the Gambias capital, and the only private secular school in the country. Its curriculum is based on natural science and rationalism where children are encouraged to think for themselves in a region where religious indoctrination and superstition is rife. The school needs to raise $4,000 in the next three weeks to ensure that the building can be brought up to code and pass an immanent government inspection. The school is supported by AAI through the AAI Foundation and we are seeking donations.
