AAPs state election in-charge Sanjai Singh said packs had Modis pictures along with slogans like I want my nation Modi-fied, do you? Na Mo, and Yes we can, we will with Na Mo mantra - Sarkar ka ek hi mazhab hota hai - INDIA FIRST, Sarkar ka ek hi granth hota hai - Bharat Ka Sanvidhan. The sari consignments have arrived in Generalganj Kapda Market and other business establishments from Gujarats textile hub of Surat. Singh said, This is akin to election campaign as Modi pictures are displayed on these packs. Claiming that sari boxes aimed at influencing voters, Singh demanded an immediate ban on its sale in accordance with the model code of conduct. Several lakhs of such boxes have been dispatched to sari shops across the industrial city, mainly Generalganj Kapda Market, which shows it is a poll gimmick by the BJP, he said. Gyanendra Vishnoi, a shop owner in biggest Generalganj Kapda Market, said, These sari boxes started arriving in the market about three to four months back. We have no option but to accept the consignments packed in Modi boxes and deliver the same to our customers. He said the arrival of sari consignments packed in Modi boxes gained pace with the announcement of Modi as the prime ministerial candidate.
