AASHTO 2014 Transportation Communications meeting general session, entitled Trade and Transportation: Communicating the Connection, was attended by 135 transportation professionals from industry and state DOTs representing 34 states. TransComm is the annual meeting for the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials’ (AASHTO’s) Subcommittee on Transportation Communications. Approximately 150 communication professionals are expected to attend the workshop, representing departments of transportation, transportation associations and private companies in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. During the four-day conference, transportation officials will connect with each other to enhance collaboration efforts in transportation safety, best practices, crisis management and communication skills development.
