ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox have declared in a clear declaration that news is no longer free press, by no longer hiding the political agenda of their owners. There is no Federal Law that mandates that the news has to be the truthful. If anyone knows anything different, I would be glad to promote that fact. Here is a clear example of the news being scripted. So the question on the table is this -- According to the constitutional right of free press, should these agencies be allowed to represent themselves as a public source of unbiased fact or should they have to provide a clear statement of Bias and publicly state that the information is that of the owners and Not necessarily the truth. After all - if the public is voting on information, based on biased and scripted half truths, then that s a clear violation of civil duty and impinges on the civil liberty of others.
