ABIANS ARE MEDIOCRES After examining the political drama and the passivity of Abians to the anomalies in the political theatre in juxtaposition to the polities and political participations of people of other state, one can categorically and emphatically assert that Abians are mediocres. The unchallenged eight years of penury and slavery in the hands of T.A. is a strong premise supporting the afor-mentioned conclusion. When I analyse the level of efforts put in by T.A Orji and his cohorts, towards the domestication and privatisation of the polity of Abia State, I laugh amidst mixed feelings and I thank God that am not from the so called God’s own State which T.A. Orji has turned into the devil’s own trash-can without any qualms of conscience. In the first place, I laugh at the level of shamelessness of T.A.Orji; a man who should have hidden his face in shame if he was actually normanl, for having achieved nothing for Abians after eight years, but inside he is bribing his way to the senate, to do what? Probably to destroy Abia state all the more. Also by striving to impose his criminal son, the so called Ikuku, who has been a social nuisance as the speaker of house of assembly, and his puppet Ikpeazu as the governor and Abians are watching. Seconly, I laugh at the level of mediocrity, indifference, passivity , uninterestedness and an embarrassing level of ignorance and illiteracy observed everywhere in Abia state. Abians have adapted different ways of surviving instead of fighting for their rights. The civil servants have learnt not to depend on their salaries because they are rarely paid in Abia state, many received their last salaries six months ago. Both young and old, able and disabled alike have all leant to jump because there are no roads, everybody have learnt how to survive in disease infested slums denied of all basic social amenities yet many do not see any thing wrong in it. Each family has become mini power holding company because there are no light. Everybody have learnt to survive anyhow in Abia state because there are no jobs and anarchy is the other of the day, hence Abia state is one of the state with the higest number of touts, Agboros and criminals of varying nomenclatures because it is a state of mediocres and headed by a mediocre who is Tout per excellence . Imagine Aba the Japan of Africa has been reduced to a slum, a safe heaven for all criminal act, a conglomeration of rich and poor mediocres. The much generated revenues are collected from Aba and yet Aba is left in a state of continues disgusting state of decay and Abians are just watching. Even the so called traditional rulers have trivialised the sacredness of their thrones by not speaking out, even some have been bribed with sum as low as N5000 while the road to their houses are flooded. This is really a lugubrious situation. Am so happy am from Imo state, no wonder it is called the Eastern heartland, by implication the Eastern heart beat, because she sets the pace for others to follow. These domestication and privatization and other ridiculous phenomena unfolding in the political theatre of Abia state cannot happen in Imo State because Imolites have high enthusiasm in political participation, they, unlike the Abian are active, patriotic and abhors mediocrity in any cadre in the society. The power of incumbency could not save Ohakim when he abused power , the powerful Imolites voted him out. The traditional rulers of Imo know their onions and are highly prestigious . Abians! it is time to you all to gave off these tendencies of indifference and passivity and be active, to fight for your right, else posterity will never forgive you people. The heavens, the fore fathers of Abians will never relent from letting these sycophants and cheap fans of this diabolic being called T.A Orji, meet their doom. Those who sing the praises of a criminal must go down with him when he goes down, unless there is no God. Where are the likes of Nwanyi-uwa, the woman who led the Aba women riot of 1929 that fought against the exploitations of the British colonial masters.Where are the nationalists? Does it mean Abians cannot speak in one voice against yet another eminent wolf begging like a lamb? Abians behold you are once more at the threshold of another protracted lugubrious era of penury. Abians give off your differences and unite to fight this common heartless agent of death. Abians say no to domestication and privatisation of Abia State by an incompetent, heartless criminal, T. A. Orji. Borrow a leaf from the Imolites and learn to say NO!IT WILL BE A BIG SHAME AND A BIG INSULT ON ALL ABIANS IF THIS CRIMINAL T.A ORJI, SHOULD GO TO SENATE, IF IKUKU HIS CRIMINAL SON SHOULD GO TO STATE HOUSE AND IF HIS PUPPET, IKEAZU SHOULD BECOME GOVERNOR OF ABIA STATE, ALL THESE AMOUNT TO THIRD TENURE OF T.A. ORJI, A NAME SYNONMOUS WITH SUFFERING. MAY GOD HELP YOU ALL.
