ACB Participates in Panel Discussion of the Marrakesh Treaty! ACB Executive Director Melanie Brunson joined Michele Woods, Director of the Copyright Law Division of the World Intellectual Property Organization, for a panel discussion of the next steps toward implementation of the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Books for People Who are Blind and Visually Impaired, or Otherwise Print Disabled at the Library of Congress. This discussion was part of a training for copyright officials from developing counties co-hosted by the US Copyright Office and the World Intellectual Property Organization on May 12, 2014. Melanie’s comments focused on the significance of the treaty for people with visual impairments, and plans for seeking its ratification in the US.
