ACCESS ISSUES/MANAGING THE HOT SUN! As we are just a little over 24 hours away from the start of the 2013 Western Fall Ball season I just wanted to give you a heads up about a couple of issues concerning the ballpark. Neither is a problem that will have an adverse effect on games, but I wanted to make you aware of them. First, access to the ballpark complex from the Marsha Sharp Freeway is limited due to road construction that is underway. If you are planning to enter via Marsha Sharp, then you have to turn in at the Legacy Play Village entrance and take the side road to the ballpark. Access via Spur 327 (south of the complex) is much easier for those that are familiar with the area. If you are headed north on Milwaukee then you can also use the entrance on the west side of the complex. Our apologies for the inconvenience. Second, we just want to make sure you are aware that a couple of the overhead awnings (Field #1 and Field #2) are currently not in place. The folks at the City Parks and Rec Department assure us they are working to get the pieces in place to repair these, but you might want to bring along an umbrella to offer yourself some shade in the meantime.
