ACCESSION TO END, IF ARTICLE 370 REVOKED: DILIP PADGOANKAR New Delhi, May 28: Former interlocutor and eminent journalist Dilip Padgaonkar Wednesday said that Instrument of Accession of Kashmir with India will automatically come into question if Article 370 is revoked. He said that he completely agrees with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that Kashmir would cease to be a part of India in case the present Central Government revokes the contentious article. Padgounkar told Srinagar based news-gathering agency CNS that BJP leaders are speaking out of turn on this issue. “I feel that one of the BJP leaders have come up with a statement on the revocation of Article 370 without knowing its constitutional and political implications. BJP leader Dr Jitendar Singh Rana must understand that it is the Article 370 which connects Kashmir with India,” Padgounkar said. He further said that that they have clearly mentioned in their report that much erosion have taken place of this article and it this article should be brought back to its original form,” he said adding that it is surprising that instead of preserving the unity, ‘irresponsible’ statements are being made which could only yield worst results. He said there is nothing to debate on the Article 370 as the very act would put a question mark on the Instrument of Accession of Kashmir with India.
