ACCUSER OF THE BRETHREN 2 “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her” [John 8:7]. When Jesus said this; one by one they all dropped their stones and went away. Why? Because there were all sinners. By doing that, Jesus proved that only those who are faultless have the right to pass judgment upon others (implying that no one is faultless and that, therefore, no one has such a right to pass judgment). One thing that believers enjoy doing is condemning another person without seeing that there are even worse than the person they are condemning. The scripture says, “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye” Matthew 7:3-5. Why should we condemn others when we are also guilty of same thing? “For all have sinned” Rom.3:23. “There is none righteous, no not one” [Romans 3:10]. But the good news is that as many that believes in Christ Jesus, they have been made new and are given the power to be children God John1:12. Thus their righteousness is of God [Isaiah 54:17]. Therefore God does not count their past any more as the blood of the son has washed them off. Hence it is written, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus” Rom. 8:1.
