AGING OUT CHILD EMERGENCY!! We truly need help from every person who reads this email. ADALAI had a family committed to her but problems with the home study agency have taken 5 precious weeks from this child. SHE MUST FIND A HOME STUDY READY FAMILY. ADALAI will age out of adoption options, domestic and international, when she turns 14 years in January 2014. While this may sound impossible, it is NOT. A family who is homestudy ready or is able to reuse a dossier has the possibility of getting her home. She wants a family and has expressed this desire at the Journey of Hope Camp. We have named this child ADADLAI for privacy. Please help us try to GIVE THIS GIRL A CHANCE before she no longer has an option to be adopted. Please read the Love Without Boundaries link below on what it meant to age out of the adoption system. lwbcommunity.org/what-it-means-to-age-out Adalai, DOB 1-14-2000 SN: Older Child, Hep B Carrier Watch Adalai’s Video: youtu.be/Qnb9yLmOTZY Adalai is one bright young lady who still waits for her forever family! She will soon age out of the adoption system and needs a family who is highly motived to work through the paperwork quickly. While she may seem shy at first she is lively and easily makes friends in a familiar environment. Adalai truly has a kind spirit and explained to Heidi that she very much wishes to be adopted. When Heidi asked her why she wanted to be adopted she answered “Because I really want a family”. Adalai lived with a foster family for two years, when her foster family had an emergency she was sent back to the SWI and has lived there for the last 8 years. Adalai often volunteers to help her teachers as well as other students, was elected as student of the week, and gets along well with her classmates. Adalai loves to sing, run, play games, weave bracelets, draw beautiful pictures, and as any teenage girl her age… loves Hong Kong dramas! Adalai is a fantastic artist, has a beautiful voice and truly wants to find a forever family. She is active at school, leads other children in exercise classes, and works hard to improve her academic abilities. Her SWI describes Adalai as lovely, lively, and liked by everybody. Her last trip to the doctor for testing reported all normal findings indicating that she has fully recovered from the HBV virus. But Adalai suffers from a mild degree of disturbance in her language ability and a moderate degree of operation capabilities. The SWI believes this is because she has been brought up in an institution and did not receive sufficient early education. Despite all this Adalai has shown great progress in math, reading, writing, and mathematics. We just know this young girl will thrive when she finds her forever family!
