AGWU SEASON 2...last year , i did an expose on agwu. Today, i will start a particularisation series with reference to educa-agwu. Ie the effect of agwu on Nigerias academic sector. As a refresher, agwu is defined by the writer as a persistent deliberate wrong doing(even when it does not pay) when the capacity to do right is very available. Agwu is when 1. A country runs a non functional curriculum for over 20 years and makes no effort to upgrade. 2. When chemistry and physics are taught on the chalk board owing to refusal to equip science labs . 3. When a country is fight exam malpractice but still creates special centers for people to cheat without being hampered. 4. Teaching students for 6 years and during weac exams, u still organise expo for the school. What were u doing for d past 6 years. 5. When teachers pay more attention to extra mural lesson than the regular academic programme. 6. When states refuses to build schools for their because they want to spite the president. 7. Allow people who scored 4 in jamb to secure admission in fed universties because of states they hail from( as in eeee, are u encouraging stupidity) . 8. Paying teachers stipends( of course they will impart knowledge equivalent to their salaries to the students) . 9. Giving seven thousand students admission when u have capacity for managing only three thousand students. 10. Giving admission to univesities based on phone calls and not merit. 11. Allowing state schools to die so that politicians can build private schools. 12: when more emphasis is placed on certificate and not performance...
