AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF DAWATUS SALAFIYYAH One thing that is - TopicsExpress

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF DAWATUS SALAFIYYAH One thing that is interesting in the Dawatus salafiyyah is that those who have the aqeedah are not following an individual. The salafs we are referring to constitute mainly of three (3) different generations: the direct followers of the Rosul, sollaLohu alaihi wasallam; those who followed the followers of the Rosul, and those who followed the followers of the followers of the Rosul till today. I have mentioned the aims and objectives of dawatus salafiyyah in my previous article on this subject. But what we need to note is that manhaj salaf is far from being a group or an organization or a movement as some people erroneously tagged it to be. Special notice must be taken of some people who are deliberately out to defame anyone who preach the need to restrict ourselves to the path of the pious predecessors. We are not urging you to join any organization, group or sect. We are rather admonishing you to be on an aqeedah that is directly related to the Kitab wa Sunnah in order to block the fake sunni claimers unnecessary intrusion on the sunnah. Islam is all about: what Allah says; what the Prophet says and what the Sohabah agreed upon. So, based on this; the organizations you belong to is not the main problem. The question is whether or not you or that your organization abide by the sunnah in accordance with the methodologies of the salafs. If you abide by the sunnah in accordance with the understanding of the salafs; you are most welcome. But if you deviate from that path; you are likely to be rejected. CONCLUSION Finally, it is crucial to add that there are many Muslims today who do not understand these principles properly. That does not take them out of Islam. The division of the Muslim community at this point in time is inevitable because it was mentioned by the Prophet, sollaLohu alaihi wasallam that: âWhoever among you lives after I am gone will see a great deal of dissent.â Narrated by Abu Dawood (4067); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood. Although it is the duty of every Muslim to search for true knowledge of the deen in the face of these great ikhtilaaf (divisions and controversies) within the Ummah; we need to always try to be close to scholars and avoid unnecessary organizations, groups and gatherings that specialize in misleading the Muslims. Every Muslim must also move away from anything the scholars refer to as bidiah. This does not mean every acts of bidiah takes a Muslim out of Islam; but every acts of bidiah is forbidden. You may not know which of the innovations can take you out of Islam. So, the safest thing is to disregard all forms of bidiah. The Prophet, sollaLohu alaihi wasallam was reported to have said: If a Muslim prays his five daily prayers regularly and properly; fast his Ramadan properly and forbid what Allah that Allah forbids and does what Allah and His messenger commands or permits accordingly; such a person would enter aljannah. So, you dont need to belong to any organization to be among the successful ones. Manhaj Salafiyyah is not an organization; it is a creed. It doesnt have an Amir. Just make sure you move away from creeds and groups whose beliefs are surrounded by confusions. Just make sure you dont do what contravenes the sunnah and understanding of the pious predecessors; you are good and okay. A Muslim may not need to call himself salafiy by name. The most important thing is for him not to deviate from that path. And if a Muslim calls himself salafiy by name; he should not be crucified. Good name is better than silver. He should not be seen as being arrogant or showing off because Allah is aware of his intention. If the sufis are bold enough to call themselves tijaanyyah; qadiriyyah; ikhlaasiyyah etc; why should a follower of the salaf be apologetic of his path? May Allah grant us better understanding of this deen and place us among the mufliheen.
