ALERT: Robbinsdale Area Schools Closed on Monday, Jan. 27 Dear Robbinsdale Area Schools families, Weather forecasts predict extremely cold temperatures for tomorrow, Jan. 27 and we have made the decision to close all Robbinsdale Area Schools for Monday. This closure includes school-sponsored events, activities, and athletics. We will be opening the Adventure Club site at Neill Elementary School for students currently enrolled in any of the district Adventure Club programs. We are also evaluating the weather for Tuesday, Jan. 28 and will inform you of any decision to close schools as quickly as possible. We consider updated weather information on a day-to-day basis and will be in contact with other school districts. I know that school cancellations create challenges for families, as well as a loss of valuable instructional time for students. We do not take such decisions lightly. Of course, student safety is of the utmost importance. If we have school on a day that you feel the weather presents a danger for your child, please consider keeping your student at home and calling in the absence to the school. This will be the fourth day we have closed school due to extremely cold weather and we will be evaluating options for possibly making up some of the missed time. We value instructional time and take the loss of such time seriously. Robbinsdale Area Schools will communicate any decisions on this as soon as a decision is made. The best part of my job is observing students learning in our classrooms. It is an honor to work with others to provide a high-quality education for our students.
