ALERT: This may be nothing or it may be something but I feel it is worth posting if for no other reason... to sternly reinforce to children not to talk to strangers.. even if they come to your home: My husbands nurse was home with my husband and granddaughter yesterday. My granddaughter (9 years old) was on the front porch playing with her dog when a white van pulled in and a man got out and came up the front porch steps by the safety gate with a big smile and asked my granddaughter if her parents were home... my granddaughter responded no and he replied oh, so youre here alone, nobodys with you?... at which time my husbands nurse came out and grabbed my granddaughter and took her in the house. He was told the owners of the house will be here at 6pm and he would have to come back then. Needless to say, he never returned. She indicated to me that the whole thing was extremely uncomfortable... enough that she came back in the house and closed the door and blinds. I was given the following description of the van and the man: Small white van with the markings Western Meats and a picture of a bulls head. The man appeared to be in his early 20s, dark brown/black hair. This happened in Livingston Manor.
