ALL CLEAR FOR SAINT LUCIA At 2:00pm today, the Saint Lucia Meteorological Services issued an “all clear” and final advisory number thirteen (13) for Tropical Storm Chantal. This means that the threats associated with this weather system have diminished considerably. Therefore, Tropical Storm Warnings have been discontinued from 2:00pm today. However, small craft operators and sea bathers have been advised to remain in port for the remainder of the day, as the seas will subside very slowly. Initial reports indicate that there was very little damage to homes and infrastructure. Throughout this afternoon, the National Emergency Management Organization will continue to gather information from Disaster Preparedness Organizations around the island, to determine the impact of Tropical Storm Chantal on Saint Lucia, if any. Businesses and households are advised to conduct initial assessment of their property and contact the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) to report any damages. Schools and Government Offices will re-open tomorrow morning in the normal manner. Business places who wish to open this afternoon are welcome to do so, if they so choose
