ALREADY SEEN BY VET SEVERE RESPIRATORY PROBLEMS IN COLONY ANY FURTHER TIPS OR ADVICE? Yesterday we took in all of our rats because of sudden onset of respiratory symptoms. The vet has said it isnt Sendai or SDA but a bacterial pneumonia. We lost three yesterday and two still have critical symptoms. Some were given warm fluid injections and put in an oxygen tank. Were treating with metacam, amoxicillin and theophylline. The gasping is ceased but still bouts of rapid breathing and generalized lethargy. We have ensure, pedialite and apple juice to entice them to drink. We also have humidifiers running. WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO?
