ALRIGHT.....CIRCLING BACK ON THE RDR7 CASTING TAPE AUDITIONS REQUIREMENTS You are going to need skills......This is a performance and personality driven show. This is not just about being pretty and fishy and fierce. It takes a lot of work and time to be any kind of a great entertainer and the really great Queens of Drag Race are dedicated and have put so much energy and time into polishing and perfecting their craft........This is a job......Cute is not enough. Act, sing, do stand up, dance, play a ukelele....do something. This is a package deal. Damnit........Learn how to sew. If someone makes your frocks for you ask them to give you a crash course in making at least a tank dress. Go buy a Butterick pattern and follow the directions. Why you dont bring dress patterns with you on the show boggles me. Buy foundation garments like Bras and panty girdles and corsets that you can add on to...........so easy and you can find them all cheap. You will need outfits. If you are a serious contender you will have wardrobe. But if you have budgetary issues try to have at least 4 good ones of your own and beg, borrow, dont steal .....Be crafty and resourceful .....use a little nerve..work it out.....This is not an audition for Halloween......It is an audition for the rest of your life. If you are passionate about being a great drag queen you dont NEED the show.......you want it
