ALS often referred to as Lou Gehrigs Disease, is a progressive - TopicsExpress

ALS often referred to as Lou Gehrigs Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to the inability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, patients in the later stages of the disease may become totally paralyzed. While there is not a cure or treatment today that halts or reverses ALS, there are clinical trials that hold promise. PLEASE Donate today! #icebucketchallenge I now challenge Debra Terrell Humphrey Lisa N RobertGain and Cari Wardlaw Keahey. Thank you to Tonia Gonzales for the challenge.
