ALESKI VELLIS – (FILM DIRECTOR) Aleksi Vellis studied Arts at Melbourne University before completing the 3 year Film Directing course at the VCA with first class honours. Nirvana Street Murder, his gritty low budget first feature, was a critical and commercial success winning awards both in Australia and overseas. Aleksi’s third feature film, The Wogboy, is one of the five highest grossing Australian films of all time. Aleksi also runs a specialized film acting studio, The Film Space, and has directed music videos, documentaries, television series and commercials. From the potent tragedy of the Twelve Days of Christmas campaign for the Transport Accident Commission to the slick and precise wackiness of his Specialist spot for Pepsi, Aleksi’s work is distinguished by his ability to work with both dramatic and comic material and his ability to inspire top level performances from actors. CHELSEA PLUMLEY – (SINGER/ACTOR/MUSICAL THEATRE PERFORMER) Chelsea is a multi-talented, award-winning performer in stage and television. She has toured her one-woman cabaret show, ‘Live & Luscious’ throughout Australia, India, UK and the USA, earning her a Glug Award. On stage, Chelsea has starred in numerous productions with credits such as Promises, Promises, Kismet, Sunset Boulevard, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Tim Rice’s Concert Spectacular. As piano bar pianist and singer, Chelsea gigged up to six nights a week for four years in London’s top hotels, including; the Ritz, the Intercontinental and the Park Hyatt. For twelve years, Chelsea has regularly hosted the worldwide phenomenon Sing-A-Long-A Sound of Music across Australia. As a recording artist, Chelsea released her solo album Live & Luscious (2004), and has starred on cast albums such as Life’s A Circus and Breast Wishes. On television, Chelsea appeared as Rachel in Channel Ten’s hit show Offspring and has recently completed filming the fifth series of the children’s television program, William and Sparkles’ Magical Tales.
