AN APPEAL TO SAVE THE FLOOD VICTIM PEOPLES OF UTTARAKHAND FRIENDS AS WE KNOW The death toll in flash floods and landslides in Uttarakhand crossed 1000 as rescuers intensified efforts to evacuate 50,000 people still stranded in different inaccessible parts of the hill state, this kind of disaster has never happened in the Himalayan history. Many of Villages of the state mainly in Garwal region are flash away, nobody can give the numbers of causality as there is tons of debris and they are inaccessible due to the disaster. We the mountain lovers can play a vital role to rebuilt the Uttarakhand, mainly in the rural parts of Uttarakhand .We can do the following: 1. All the mountain lovers should give financial support for providing Food, rebuilding Villages, Schools and Health Center in Garwal by cancelling /cut off their budget for next Trek/Tour/Expedition. 2. We can formulate a committee to help the rural peoples of Garwal .Which Committee can be constituted by the veterans’ mountaineers of the Country. 3. We can afford our knowledge and labor to rebuild the Garwal as a volunteer. If we are agree, make it our Goal to save Himalaya and its habitats
