AN OPEN LETTER TO AARON LEWIS OF STAIND I would like to apologize for making you play to 10s of thousands of fans Friday at Rock on the Range. I realize when you got into music you never wanted to be bothered with actually performing your music for thousands of people who actually paid, not only for your CDs DVDs , merchandise, but also paid hundreds to see you perform live. Im not even sure that I can call what you did Friday a performance. I dont think slowly walking from the drum riser to the mic stand, yawning, not saying anything between songs and puffing on a cig constitutes as such. By the way, that cig hopfully doesnt give you throat cancer and take away the one reason you are even out on that stage. I will say your voice is spot on, and your band played with the true enthusiasm of real muscians. You on the the other hand , slowly yawned your way through a record company obligation, somehow forgetting about the thousands of people standing in the rain right in front of you who actually made you who you are... I was shocked by your lack of personality and lack of apreciation to your fans. I realize you will never read this, and if you did somehow read it, you would just let me know you still sell out venues and people still wait for your new songs... True but you miss the point. The fans made you who you are. A friend of mine Tim Ripper Owens, one of the best voices in Metal, said to me once.. its not the voice on stage its the heart behind that voice, and you sir , Mr Lewis have zero heart. I would rather have went to a Karaoke bar, and watch a terrible singer pour his heart out, then watch you mindlessly shit on your fans. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go back to your country fans and bore them to tears, leave the rock fans,,,, who by the way , made you a star, alone. Thank you Micah Posten
