AN UPDATE FOR MELTON / KURUNJANG CUSTOMERS: Works to repair a burst water main affecting customers within the boundaries of Minns Road, Gisborne-Melton Road, Centenary Avenue and Coburns Road have been completed. Please be patience while we slowly refill the water main. Full supply should be available by midnight. IMPORTANT: You may notice white or ‘milky’ water when you turn your taps on - this is due to tiny air bubbles in the water and will clear up if you leave the water to sit in an open container for a short period of time. If you notice dirty water, this is due to the natural silt in water pipes being stirred up – please run a tap in your backyard for 10-15 minutes to clear this up. The water is safe to drink. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your patience. This will be the last Facebook post tonight. Please call 1300 650 425 after 7am if you need for speak to a Western Water staff member. You can also call this number for 24/7 emergencies.
