PLS SHARE/RESCUE/PLEDGE/FOSTER/ADOPT LITTLE ORION. ***AMAZING WINNER OF LOVING DOG AWARD*** A volunteer writes: Why is it that the dogs who should most have issues with the human race are usually the kindest and sweetest? They hold no grudges, and just want to snuggle with the closest person. Orion should have every reason to be wary of us, abandoned in an apartment and brought to our care by the police, he hardly has any hair on his body and his feet are swollen with mange. Nonetheless, hes tail waggy, kissy and snuggly and just wants to be close to the person hes with. His gorgeous almond color eyes make soft eye contact with love in them as his tail wags, standing still posing for pictures. We take a short walk outside, but his feet seem to hurt him and we dont go far. Off leash in the backyard, he relaxes when left free to roam the pen, coming over to me for more hugs. Hes too thin so were feeding him an extra meal daily to help him gain some weight, and in spite of his hunger he takes treats so gently. Orion had the best time playing with a squeaky toy, perhaps forgetting for that time that his feet hurt; it was great to watch him have so much fun. Its no surprise that he aced his behavior evaluation indicating hell be a good fit in just about any home. Like the hunter from Greek Mythology after which he is named, Orion is hunting for a new home. He needs a commitment to his well being and care to clear up his mange. He won my Loving Dog award and I guarantee he will win yours as well. Please make the promise to our Orion and get him on the road to being the best dog he can be. Hes amazing and deserves it.
