ANNUAL HUNT COUNTY TIRE ROUNDUP SATURDAY West Tawakoni City Administrator Susan Roberts reminded the annual Hunt County annual Tire Roundup would be held tomorrow (Saturday) from 8 a.m. until noon. The location is the former Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) facility, located on US Highway 69 in Greenville, a fourth mile south of FM 1570 intersection, next to GEUS. The roundup is restricted to Hunt County residents who must show proof of residency. No commercial entities will be allowed, and each person is limited to discard 25 tires. Tires so large they could not be easily loaded onto transport trailers will not be accepted, and no tires will be accepted on rims. The roundup is sponsored by the Hunt County Office of Homeland Security, TCEQ and Bluebonnet Resource Conservation and Development.
