APRIL 14, 1947: BIRTHDAY -- Justin Hayward The Moody Blues were part the the last of the original British invasion spawning one major hit, Go Now and playing a repertoire of largely American R&B covers. Denny Laine, later Paul and Linda McCartneys side kick in Wings, was the bands lead singer and guitarist. Seeking greater but long to be fulfilled ambitions, he left the band opening the door for Justin Hayward whod become the bands guitarist, contribute songs and vocals. His efforts were most obvious on their first album of new personnel joining with Londons Festival Orchestra for the album DAYS OF FUTURE PAST with Nights in White Satin and Tuesday Afternoon, both Hayward songs.
