ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE NOT OPERATING IN UNBELIEF? (3) DANIEL 3:9 - TopicsExpress

ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE NOT OPERATING IN UNBELIEF? (3) DANIEL 3:9 –26, MATTHEW 9:19 –21 The worst form of unbelief a Christian can exhibit is refusing to act on what God has said. Only the children of God are involved in this. God swore that the children of Israel will not enter the promise land because of this unbelief considering all the wonders He performed to deliver them from Egypt. This unbelief also made the father of John the Baptist dumb for a season because he doubted God’s word despite the scriptural precedence of Abraham and Sarah. I read the story of how John G. Lake came as a missionary to South Africa with seven children and by the time they arrived at the harbor, they had no money left. His wife asked him what they were going to do and he said, “We have believed Jesus as far as we can go, He will do the rest.” Not knowing that the Lord had spoken to a wealthy woman in South Africa about an American missionary family arriving with seven children. Two missionary families were aboard that ship but God specified the number of children John G. Lake had and the woman paid all the expenses and took them to an already prepared and furnished home. However, they wouldn’t have known that divine operation if he didn’t take the first step. Unbelief keeps you from taking the first step. Unbelief says, “I want to know how it’s all going to happen before taking any step. If you are like that, you cannot become a friend of God because God’s greatest interventions don’t happen until YOU take the first step. The four lepers, the woman with the issue of blood, Daniel and the Hebrew boys all took the first step and God came through for them. Jesus grouped the fearful and the unbelieving together in Revelation 21:8. Therefore, be it known to you that you are in unbelief when you refuse to act on God’s word. His word may not always make sense but it always makes faith and “This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4). PRAYER: Father, forgive me of the sin of unbelief. I receive boldness to act on your word from today in Jesus name. Amen.
