ARE YOU THINKING OF SWAPPING YOUR DOG TO RAW?? I asked our nearly 7000 members on Raw Feeding UK the differences they had noticed in their dogs since swapping them to raw and I think you will find their posts extremely inspiring :) xx Ann Ridyard SWAPPING TO RAW?? - heres a few things you will find interesting. For over 90% of dog swapped to raw, within 24 hours their stools will improve tremendously, there will be less of them and they will be drier, smaller and less smelly. This is the very first thing owners notice. The next thing is the water consumption - it is drastically reduced when a dog is swapped to raw and owners worry because their dogs are not drinking as much - please dont, this is perfectly normal as your dog no longer has to dilute and dissolve that dreadful kibble in its system, he therefore requires less water. Many, many owners they will experience the joy of seeing their dog eat real food for the first time in its life, and this is worth more than gold - for others, initial rejection may be experienced (this is usually the spoilt pooches) but this thankfully doesnt happen often - Maybe you could use this thread to tell everybody about the other changes you have noticed in your dog since the swapover - I can sit here and sing the praises of raw all day long and the complete turnarounds we have seen with dogs swapped to raw - but for those considering, or for those who are still wary - lets hear it from those who have been there and done that - What differences have YOU noticed in YOUR dog?? xx Like · · Unfollow Post · 47 minutes ago 25 people like this.. Her coat & eyes are shinier than ever but the best thing is seeing how much she enjoys her food now. Def best thing we ever did swapping her to raw!!! 38 minutes ago via mobile · Like · 1.. Nicky Jackson So so easy to feed and I find it cheaper than kibble! Teeth are pristine white, Easy to maintain weight 37 minutes ago · Like.. Angie Roberts Happy, healthy, fit, vet bills down dramatically, beautiful coat, only moults twice a year, digestive issues resolved, content, improved temperament (she was rescued), the list goes on.. One of the best things about raw feeding is the high number of dogs that we have rehomed (I work for German Shepherd Rescue Elite) who have been cured (by raw feeding) from skin allergies, ear infections, digestive disorders, auto-immune diseases (including EPI) etc.. The bonus is, that despite the wide variety of food my white GSD is fed (chicken, duck, venison, veal, lamb, ox, rabbit, pheasant, sardines, mackerel, sprats, various tripe) it works out cheaper to feed than a good quality commercial food, this was completely unexpected! 36 minutes ago · Like.. Natski Fitzpatrick My Ben used to have what I believed to be a sensitive stomach, and hed have runny poos at least once a week. None since we changed to raw 3 months ago. Dinner time is a pleasure as they lick their bowls clean everytime! I love raw. Lol x 35 minutes ago via mobile · Like.. Tabi Farrow Merlin had constant diarrhoea from his good kibble, he wasnt keeping weight on, looked emaciated and sad, had runny eyes. I went into hospital and had nothing to do so started researching ways to help him improve and found this thing called raw feeding - day after I left hospital we went to our local animal feed place, bought minces, and swapped him straight over. Next day he had a beautiful, solid poo. A couple of weeks later hed filled out, had clear eyes, a glossy coat (everyone comments on it!!), and more energy (but not hyperactive, just puppyish!) I really genuinely thought Id lose him, the way he was before, and raw has been a miracle. He loves it. I love watching him chomping through bones and carcasses and catching pigeons as a snack. I tell everyone about raw now, I think its fab. 35 minutes ago via mobile · Like · 1.. Ziggy Ziggles Its hard for me, because Dresden is my first ever dog, and he was weaned onto raw, so Ive never known any different! He will be two on jan 1st. I will say, though, that I often see dogs his age who already have manky teeth, while his are gleaming white! But as hes the only dog Ive ever had, and Ive only fed raw, I have missed out on the big changes that might have occured! 29 minutes ago · Like · 1.. Tabi Farrow Ah yes, the doggy smell - doesnt seem to be happening!! Merlin is springer x lab, so a candidate for being awfully pongy, but he really smells quite perfumed! 28 minutes ago via mobile · Like.. Jodie Bromilow This is Lola, 3 year old Bichon Frise. She switched to raw over a year ago. The only regrets I have, is not switching sooner!!. She used to be the fussiest eater ever, starving her self and she used to scratch a lot. She took to raw like a duck in water and licks her bowl clean, and her coat is even thicker and softer and glossier. I could go on and on with the amazing changes. While my Boxers always had good skin and coats on their complete food, after changing to raw the main (and welcome) differences have been: 1. They thoroughly enjoy their food - never a scrap left! 3. Finally able to keep weight on my youngster. 2. FAR less poo (even compare with high-end grain-free complete) and what they DO produce is well formed, doesnt smell bad, and crumbles away after a couple of days if missed on the clean-up run! POOF! 3. They hardly drink water. 4. Far less eye gunk and what there is, doesnt stink! 5. No dog breath & they smell sweet in general. 6. BEAUTIFUL teeth wit not a scrap of tartar (noted by my vet)! 7. Far more chillaxed, contented mutts 17 minutes ago via mobile · Like · 2..
