ART/SERVICE PROJECT for you homeschoolers...could you help out. Olivia and I do this every year and we will also being doing this as part of our 4-H service project in between 4-H and JMG next meeting. If you can make some cards from you own family and get to me by November 11. I will get them to Penelope by the 15th deadline..... Hey! We need 900 Thanksgiving Cards for Mobile Meals. The participates in this program very much like receiving cards from the kids. They will keep them on their refrigerators for weeks. One man called in to Thank us just crying because it touched him so much that kids would take time to remember them. This really is an easy way to create 900 smiles and remind them that we do care and are thinking of them. We have done this for the past 9 years. They expect it now, lets not let them down. The cards can be as simple or fancy as you have time for. Take a piece of construction paper and fold it in half, you can even cut a piece of paper in half to make two cards. Decorate with their drawings, coloring cut outs, cut on silk leaves, make finger print turkeys, stickers, be creative. The text could read Happy Thanksgiving, Thinking of You on the outside of the card. If you are going to include BIble verses please place those on the inside of the card. Have the Students sign their first name, this makes the card more personable. Deadline is November 15th, no exceptions. I have 4 ways for you to get the cards to me; 1. I will put out a box a Thursday Connections scan in table. 2. You can put them in the teacher folder under my name at Masters Monday. 3. You can drop them by my house any time, I have a plastic storage box on the front porch to keep them safe. 4. You can mail them to me. I would love to have a collection person at the other area co-ops who would then be responsible to get the cards to me before the deadline. This is a big project and I let it sneak up on us - Please make a few cards to contribute. If we all pitch in just a little then we can get to the 900 goal!
