AS TO THE LORD And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. Colossians 3:23 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me." And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. Luke 10:40-41 Martha wanted to serve God but she was complaining that the work was left to her alone to do, and Christ cautioned her with words that I paraphrased as ‘why is your activity disturbed by another person’s inactivity?’ Whatseover we want to do, lets learn to do it as if we are the only one meant to do it. A responsibly person is that person that personalizes duties as if its his sole responsibility and he does it as if there is no other person that could help him out in the discharge of such duties. God wants us to do our work with our heart without noticing those that should be helping but arent helping. Though we may not see God benefiting directly in our services to our parents, office, mates etc. but the truth is, when we serve men with our heart, we directly render service to God. Its not only when I type this sermon, preach in church, sweep the church or play the music that I render services to God but when I sweep the compound alone though I may not be the only one that is supposed to be sweeping it, wash the plates though I may not be the only one that ate with it, cook though I’m not the only person that will eat it, and do other activities that benefits humanity with all my heart. If you are a christian, you should be hardworking in your office, home and in any place you find yourself without regarding the level of commitment of others or the reward you should get which its not forthcoming, when you do any work with all your heart, you render service unto to God and not to men and God will sure reward you according to what your work may be.
