ASARI DOKUBO: A MAN ON PILGRIMAGE... When the news of the botched arms deal in South Africa hit the airwaves in Nigeria, some names popped up as the culprits held in South African jail house. One of such names is Asari Dokubo. In a bid to dispel the rumour and such allegations, he(Asari Dokubo) came up with a photo, or photos of himself in Saudi Arabia performing Hajj. To some people, that was it... That was enough to validate his position or rebuttal. Some...safe to say most people swallow the stunt hook, line, and sinker... Im one of the few Nigerians who did not. I will spare you all the torture of having to read a lengthy analysis, I will make this so brief and short... I will only be coming up with four(4) instances to buttress my position. 1. After the release of the photos, Asari Dokubo true to the psychoanalysis of him would have demanded for an apology or retraction on an audacious term. 2. When the son of Late Abubukar Tafewa Balewa insisted on purchasing the PDPs nomination form, & contest the sole candidacy of GEJ, Asari Dokubo we all know would have filled the cyberspace with verbal attacks and in/with his usual words labelled him Gambari, born to rule mentality....etc... 3. Towards the build up to the declaration of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to seek re-election after his re-election of 2011, Asari Dokubo would have been bragging about town, his facebook page and media houses would have been awashed with his face and interview on why nothing must happen to Jonathan. The importance of the declaration to the unity of this country. Why GEJ must spend 2 terms in office...bla bla bla... 4. Lastly, the attack in GSS, Postikum by a suicide bomber which was greeted by utter silence by Asari Dokubo is another indicator. He would have blamed the North, blamed APC, and blamed Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Buhari, IBB and all his usual suspects. To me, hes on a pilgrimage to South Africa, in a South African Jail house to purge him of most, if not all his criminality and make him holy... Going to the few highlighted points of mine, you will want to agree with me & it is safe to say that Asari Dokubo is a man truly on a Pilgrimage..a man truly on a holy pilgrimage.
