ASSAULT ON AN OFFICER Last night Parker Police Officers conducted a traffic stop at 1:23 am, N/B Parker Road and Valley Hi. The driver, Kent Scott Williams (DOB: 09/01/64) was cleared and returned with multiple driving restraints. He was placed into custody without incident. After the driver was arrested, officers observed a male passenger hiding in the rear seat floorboard under miscellaneous items. Officers attempted to contact the male and an altercation ensued. The male in the rear seat then jumped into the driver’s seat and attempted to gain control of the vehicle. One officer then ran to the driver’s door and attempted to turn the ignition off. The male, later identified as Justin Wayne Lamb (DOB: 09/10/84) accelerated the vehicle driving north on Parker Road. The officer was dragged by the vehicle over the center median into the southbound lanes, through a fence, down an embankment until the car came to a stop. After the traffic accident the driver fled on foot, west through the field. The female passenger, identified as Lexi Erwin (DOB: 07/11/1995) was subsequently detained. A perimeter was set up and Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) responded with K9. After a persistent K9 track the suspect was located in a tree and was taken into custody at 4:46am without further incident. The Officer did not sustain serious bodily injury and has been released from an area hospital. All three suspects were arrested and transported to Douglas County Jail on related charges.
