ASSISTANCE REQUIRED Police search Lansdowne River near Taree for missing man Sunday, 26 October 2014 04:01:40 PM Police are searching for a man who went missing on the Lansdowne River near Taree yesterday. About 6:30pm, Saturday 25 October 2014, 34-year-old Linc Moore left his house in Coopernook to attend a function in Lansdowne. Mr Moore left his house in a small tin boat to travel along the Lansdowne River but never arrived at the function. Police were notified about his disappearance just before midday today (Sunday 26 October 2014) and commenced a search of the river with the assistance of the Marine Area Command and SES. The tinnie was later found by Mr Moore’s family drifting along the river but there was no sign of him. The search of the river is continuing and police urge anyone with information about Mr Moore’s whereabouts to contact Taree Police or Triple Zero (000) immediately. He is described as having a tanned complexion, about 160cm tall with a solid build, dark hair and was last seen wearing a red life jacket, a light orange shirt, blue shorts and work boots.
